This 1860's home needed more space to accommodate a large, active family. We designed a series of additions with stone and glass walls to create open, modern interiors without overwhelming the existing house. The kitchen is a dramatic atrium-like space, with natural light from above and multi-directional views to a new pool, terraces, and outdoor play areas. Upstairs, the master suite has a private stairway and access to a roomy study on the third floor. The basement of the addition accommodates a large playroom, and a guest apartment tops a new double garage. The old kitchen is converted to a family room, with a greenhouse-like game room addition. Upstairs renovations create an exercise room leading to a children's play loft.
