Krieger Architects is an award-winning Philadelphia firm providing architectural, planning, and interior design services to residential, institutional, and commercial clients since 1992.  Our mission is to produce lasting building design solutions with creativity, clarity, and respect.

Our projects include renovations, additions, and new construction.  We maintain the flexibility and broad knowledge base to work on several building types at once, keeping our staff’s curiosity engaged and their ideas fresh. Our typical project size is between $500,000 and $5 million in construction cost. 

Creativity
Our design approach begins with an understanding of context. We first study a site’s existing building styles, current and future patterns of use, landscape, views, climate, history, and culture. We then design a unique response that is informed by these elements. While we may reference the historical context, our desire is still to offer something original, embracing new technologies and sustainable building practices.

Clarity
Accuracy, teamwork, and transparent communication are the foundations of our practice.  We place primary importance on thorough, precise design documents, facilitating realistic construction budgeting.  Working collaboratively with builders before and during construction allows us to benefit from their expertise.  In turn, we stress clear communication with clients; providing education about the design and construction process is a vital part of our work.

As we design buildings, we build relationships that matter to us.  Each individual’s perspective has inherent worth.  We approach clients, contractors, employees—our community—with respect, openness, and fair dealings.
