Built in 1730, Stenton is an historic house and site in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The house stands as a prime example of early Georgian country house architecture, and is furnished accordingly with items from the orginal family and descendants. The site offers house and garden tours, lectures, and educational programming for local schoolchildren. We were asked to complete a feasibility study regarding potential renovation schemes for the site and outbuildings. We considered both staff and visitor needs, and reviewed the condition of building structures and systems. A full review of applicable codes was completed. Proposed site and building alterations as well as a conceptual cost estimate and schedule were included in our report.
